We are seeking a creative and skilled Game UI Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for game design and a keen eye for detail, ensuring that our games provide an intuitive and immersive user experience. As a Game UI Designer, you will collaborate closely with game designers, artists, and developers to create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement engaging user interfaces for mobile and console games.
- Create wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes to effectively communicate design concepts.
- Collaborate with game designers and developers to ensure seamless integration of UI designs.
- Develop and maintain UI style guides to ensure consistency across all game interfaces.
- Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to refine and improve UI designs.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in game UI/UX design.
- Optimize UI assets for performance and memory efficiency.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas to enhance the overall gaming experience.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Game UI Designer or similar role in the gaming industry.
- Strong portfolio showcasing your UI design skills and previous game projects.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, or similar.
- Understanding of game design principles and the ability to create intuitive and engaging interfaces.
- Excellent visual design skills with attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
- Knowledge of user-centered design principles and usability testing methodologies.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate design decisions effectively.
- A passion for gaming and staying updated with the latest industry trends.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with 3D modeling and animation software.
- Familiarity with Unity, Unreal Engine, or other game development engines.
- Understanding of coding languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with motion graphics and animation.
